The Psychedelic Couple is Christine and Brad Zanin, based in Carbondale, Colorado.
Something shifted between them that years of conversation had not been able to reach.
Defenses came down. Honest conversations happened. They found their way back to each other in a way neither of them had known was possible.
Christine watched what was unfolding and knew, with the kind of clarity that does not leave, that this was the work she was supposed to do.
Together they enrolled in a psychedelic guide training program. Christine quietly listed the Aspen salon and beauty business she had spent seventeen years building.
On December 20th, right before her 50th birthday, she sat her team down and told them she was retiring. The business sold. Twenty-three years in the industry, done.
It is just buried. And with the right support, people find their way back.

A practice built around a simple belief: that the connection people are longing for is not gone. It is just buried. And with the right support, people find their way back.

Christine Zanin is an IFS-informed psychedelic support guide with a particular gift for creating the conditions where people feel safe enough to be honest with themselves and each other. IFS, or Internal Family Systems, is a framework for understanding the different parts of ourselves and how they protect us. Christine draws on it as a guide. This is separate from IFS therapy or any form of medical or mental health treatment.
She came to this through her own couples journey with Brad, and through a belief she has carried her entire life: that the disconnection people carry is not permanent, and that the body knows the way back before the mind does.
Working with individuals has been personal too. Christine has stood at her own threshold, looked at a life she built with her own hands, and chosen to build something different. Her commitment to Veterans comes from a similar place.
Her father is a Vietnam Veteran, her brother served as a Marine and her sister-in-law served as a Navy EOD diver. Whether guiding a couple through conflict, an individual through transition, or a Veteran back to safety, her mission is the same: helping people remember who they are when the armor comes off.

Brad is an investment advisor, a ranch owner, and a man who found something in this work that changed the way he shows up in every part of his life.
He came into psychedelic support because a brain scan gave him a reason to, and he stayed because of what he found in his own individual work and in the couples work with Christine.
He is the person in the room that a skeptical or reluctant partner can actually talk to. He understands the partner who has questions, who is not sure about any of this, who would love nothing more than to feel close again but has no interest in sitting in a circle talking about feelings.
Brad co-facilitates all couples sessions. He is the reason more than one hesitant partner has said yes.

The Psychedelic Couple works with three groups of people.

Couples who still love each other but have lost the thread back. The ones who have tried therapy, had the conversations, taken the weekend away, and still feel like they are living alongside each other instead of truly with each other.

Military Veterans whose bodies are still running a threat-detection system that kept them alive overseas and is now costing them everything at home. The ones who have no interest in another diagnosis or another round of approaches that do not reach the actual root of what they are carrying.

Individuals standing at a threshold. Navigating the end of a marriage, a major identity shift, or the quiet but insistent feeling that the life they built no longer fits and the tools that have always worked are not enough for what this moment is asking.
Clients across the United States are supported remotely.
The work does not require you to be local. It requires you to be ready.

Equine Therapy Integration. Carbondale, Colorado.
Smiling Goat Ranch is a nonprofit equine therapy operation located on Brad and Christine's property in Carbondale, Colorado.
Founded and run by Sheryl, it specializes in work with autistic people, adults, and military Veterans using the horse boy method and animal-assisted therapy for nervous system regulation and healing.
Horses respond to what is actually happening in the body, not what someone is presenting to the room. That kind of honest, non-verbal feedback is uniquely powerful for anyone doing deep personal work.
For clients of The Psychedelic Couple, equine therapy through Smiling Goat is available as an integration option, offering a grounded, embodied complement to the preparation and integration sessions that surround a psychedelic experience.
Disconnection, whether it is in a relationship, a nervous system carrying trauma, or a life that no longer fits, runs deeper than language can reach. This work goes to where it actually lives.
What happens after a psychedelic experience determines everything. An insight that is not integrated is just a memory. Every program at The Psychedelic Couple is structured around what comes next because that is where the real shift happens.
Whether you are here for yourself, for your relationship, or for both, the work is built entirely around you and the specific moment you are in. When the container is right, people go to places they have never been able to reach before.
Every client goes through a thorough intake screening before any psychedelic support begins. Intention setting, journaling, food intake, and the preparation sessions that come before the experience all contribute to how grounded and ready each person feels when the time comes.
Christine and Brad have done this inside their own lives and their own relationship. They bring the full weight of that lived experience into every session, and that changes what they can hold for the people who trust them with it.

A discovery call is a free thirty-minute conversation. No pressure, no pitch. Just an honest talk about where you are and what might actually help. Christine and Brad work with clients in Carbondale, Colorado and remotely across the United States.

Getting Back to Us is a free guide for couples who want this but do not know how to start the conversation. It walks you through how to talk to your partner, what to say, and how to answer the questions they are most likely to ask. Download it and take the first step at your own pace.
